FREE VIDEO GUITAR LESSON BLUES SCALE

In this guitar lesson I take you through the blues scale (Minor Pentatonic) in all it’s forms up the neck.  However, the one I want you to concentrate on now is the familiar box pattern that most people know with your first finger on the root of the scale which I’ve provided for you in Tab below the video.  The notes in the TAB in (parenthesis) are the flat 5 in the scale which I don’t play in the video and you won’t need to practice for now, however, we will be using this note in later videos.  The next few lessons will be dealing with guitar licks and concepts based on the minor pentatonic in “A”.  Once you get the first form down, you definitely should learn all the forms of the blues scale up the neck of the guitar.  You need to be able to grab the notes no matter where you are on the neck and not always have to jump back to the familiar box.  I encourage you to learn all your scales in all forms and run them all up and down the neck.  This will help you grow and mature as a player. Remember to start slow and gradually get faster and most of all have fun with it!
