I this guitar lesson, I explain what a hammer on and a pull off are and how to produce those sounds.  Then I give you a great practice exercise that will help get all of your fingers engaged.  With this little practice routine you will coordinate and strengthen each finger as you are honing your skills on hammer on’s and pull off’s.  Using hammer on’s and pull off’s in your playing will allow you to increase your speed on certain runs as well as just make you sound more fluid and melodic in your playing.  For example, I do a really cool hammer on blues scale run in the last lesson #4 16th Note Blues Scale you may want to check out when you get a handle on this technique.  Remember to work slowly at first and try to have fun.  Also, go to my DOWNLOADS page and get your 5 free songs, one of which is my guitar feature “In The House of the Mountain King.”
