GUITAR VIDEO LESSON-HEMIOLA LICK USING THE BLUES SCALE
In this video I show you another very cool, easy to play blues lick, that we will get more mileage out of by using the Hemiola concept. This is the 2nd video of 3 where I talk about the rhythmic concept of the Hemiola and how to turn the simplest of licks into some of the coolest ones in your arsenal. If you need more explanation on the concept talked about here, check out the previous video #14 where I go more in depth of what is actually happening rhythmically. The lick I show you is based off the flat 5 of the blues scale. See the TAB below for the notes if you need them. Remember to practice with a metronome or a drum groove when you are developing these licks. YOU being in time is KEY to this being a great technique to add to your bag of tricks.
